Sun kissed skin, shimmering lips and stunning eyes are definitely what summer 2009 is about.  With this in mind, we thought we'd go over some of our fav collections that will help you define this look.

Chanel's Cote D'Azur Collection

This collection is the perfection of sun kissed skin-as only Chanel can do.  The must have product is the Soleil Tan De Chanel ($65.00).  This bronzing powder compact gives the ultimate natural glow to your skin, with four shades to match any skin tone, it can be worn any time, any day.  If you prefer a loose powder, the Soleil Tan De Chanel ($65.00) is your best bet.  They have a new shade limited edition shade Effet Hale, which is a beautiful soft copper, that will make your skin grow.  Other items in the summer collection to compliment your beautiful tanned skin

For Eyes:

We loved the Lumiere Facettes quartet ($56.00).  The limited edition palette, Plein Soleil is perfect for complimenting your skin.  Colors can be worn separately, or in infinite combinations, perfect for always finding the right color to match your ever changing tanned skin.  

If you're not the mix and match kind of woman, then go for the Ombre D'Eau ($32.00), a wonderfully seductive fluid eyeshadow that glides on effortlessly to give the ultimate shimmering eye color.  This summer's colors (and limited editions) are Seashore (copper rose-great for darker complexions) and Source (pink gold-great for lighter complexions).

For Lips:

Gloss is what we prefer for summer, so our pick are the new shades in the Aqualumiere Sheer Colour Lipshine with SPF 15 ($27.00).  The limited edition shades are Cherry Blossom (cherry pink), Tangerine Dream (peachy coral) and our fav Ginger Shimmer (a copper gold).  For night, try the Aqualumiere lipstick ($28.50).  They provide a sheer colour with SPF 15. New shades are Ischia (rose violet), Lipari (strawberry), Porto Rotondo (vibrant red), Monte-Carlo (red coral), Salina (pink beige) and Panarea (soft brown).

For Nails:

Le Vernis Nail Colour ($23.00) in Orange Fizz (bright coral) and Golden Sand (rich copper), will have you perfect for head to toe!

Shu Uemura's Pink Collection

For shimmering lips look no further than Shu Uemura's Pink and Summer Mode Eternal Collections.   Pink lips are pretty hot this season and with Shu's patented new hybrid pigment, pink takes on a whole new color.  This range has a pink to match any complexion and with 9 new shades of the Rouge Unlimited Lipstick ($23US/30CDN) and 5 new shades of Gloss Unlimited ($22US/29CDN), you'll find something that works.  For day, we loved the understated yet sexy look of PK 322 in the Rouge Unlimited and the PK 310N of the gloss.  For night, If your just into gloss and want a bit more drama go for the Gloss Unlimited in Pink 333 S (it's a gorgeous pale pink).  If lipstick is your thing and you want some drama try the Rouge Unlimited PK 369 (a more intense pink that makes a statement).   Now, if pink does not tickle your fancy, try some of the gorgeous shades in the Summer Mode Eternal Gold collection.  All the colors are inspired by the golden rays of the sun and use shimmering colors to create a beautiful bronze tan to your skin.  

For Lips:

Gloss Unlimited in Br 755N was a standout (copper brown with a hint of shimmer)

Rouge Unlimited Crystal Shine Bg 901 S (neutral beige) and PK 301s (flesh tone pink) are the standouts

For Eyes:

We love Shu Uemura's Pressed Eyeshadows ($20US/$CDN). The metallic finish of the Gold 350 (rusty gold) and Brown 850 (medium shade brown with a metallic) are the absolute perfect compliment to your tanned skin!

If you prefer the more natural finish of their Cream Eye Shadows ($30US/$CDN), then the P Pink (an neutral rosy pink) and P Brown 7A (tannish brown) would be our choices.

For Skin:

UV Under Base Shimmer ($35US/$CDN) is the stand out product.  This limited edition weightless mousse, provides the ultimate base to even out your skin tone and texture, all the while minimizing pores and reducing redness-flawless skin made easy!!  Pair this under Shu's Bronzing Powder ($38US/$CDN) and a perfect sun kissed glow will be yours.

NARS Summer Collection 2009-Vivid Yet Versatile

For stunning eyes, we felt NARS had some of the most striking colors.  Our favorites had to be the Single Eyeshadow ($22) in Tropic, a silver flecked teal, that is gorgeous, vivid yet wearable.  The Duo Eyes ($32) has a new palette called Scorching Sun (glazed apricot and orange with a delicate sheen)which is perfect for brightening up your eyes.  If pink and purple tickle your fancy then try Caravaggio (azalea pink and irridescent purple), the perfect colors to wear alone or mix and match.  For neutrals, All About Eve (flesh toned neutrals) and Cordura (shimmering warm rich brown and sooty brown) will satisfy even the most finicky of tastes.

For Lips:

We mentioned the Falbala (high shine bronzy rose) and Outsider (burnished coral) Lipsticks ($24) last month, but they also have a Belize Lip Gloss ($24), the perfect pink mauve with a hint of gold to bring back sexy to your lips.

For Nails:

Adelita Nail Polish ($16), is the perfect shimmering pink to finish your look.
