Being a beauty editor, I always get asked what I wear and who I'd recommend. So I thought I'd give a rundown of what I wear, why I wear it, and why you should too!

For Skin:

I love Armani Foundation, I can't rave enough about it!  It's light, lasts all day, and they have a shade that will be right for you.  If you're looking for flawless skin, that looks like it takes no effort, then look no further.  I like the Face Fabric Foundation SPF 12 ($45US).  It's very light and give your skin a flawless yet natural look.  If you need more coverage (for oily or more problem skin), go for the Lasting Silk UV Foundation SPF 20 ($58US).  It's coverage is more matte and can withstand even the most extreme conditions.

If you can't find Armani, then a close second is Lancome Color Ideal Foundation ($37US/$42CDN).  Blendable and buildable, you can adjust the coverage you need without it looking caked on.  What I like most about this foundation, is that it blends really naturally into you skin,  so you get the perfect skin you wanted without feeling like your ready for the circus!  Speaking of Lancome, they recently put out La Base Pro ($42CDN), a primer for your skin before you put on your foundation-the result -flawless looking skin, primed and ready for your foundation!

For Eyes:

I'm an old fashioned kind of girl, I know liquid liner can be easy and stays put, but there's something about a pencil I can't give up.  My fav and the one I use is Urban Decay's 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Oil Slick($17US/$CDN).  These pencils just glide on and stay put, so you're good to go in 30 seconds and set for the rest of the day.

For lashes, definitely Dior's DiorShow Black Out Mascara in Kohl Black($24US).  The blackest black, that separates each lash perfectly, it gives you the most fantastic lashes you've ever had!

Now the finishing touch, those eyeshadows....With seemingly hundreds of brands and colors to choose from (and having tried alot of them!), I feel that Shu Uemura's Eyeshadows ($20US/$CDN) are the best.  What I like about them is they are smooth, light, blend well and don't fade.  They also come in a number of finishes (pearl/matte/iridescent/metallic), so depending on your mood and outfit, you'll have something you can use.

Speaking of Shu....If you're having a special night out, or just wanting to try something a little different, try their false eyelashes, they look surprisingly natural and are easy to put on (and more importantly) remove, without leaving your lash line bald!  If you're looking for something extravagant then check out their Tokyo Lash Bar, you'll definitely turn heads wearing one of those!  If your looking more to enhance your look then go for their Natural Lashes, they add just the right amount of sex appeal to get that special someone intrigued.

For Lips:

What can I say, Chanel, Chanel and more Chanel.  Whether it's the Glossimer ($27US) or the Rouge Allure ($30US), the colors stay put, feels light and come in the most flattering colors- you'll wish you tried them sooner.  Best part is, the lipsticks and glosses all contain moisturizers to keep you lips looking healthy and plumb, so no nasty chapped or cracked lips.

I've said it before and I'll say it again,  lipstick and foundation are the two things you can't be cheap on, it's too noticeable if there not working well!  So if you're looking to splurge on one (or two) makeup items, make it one of these two and you'll be looking like a million bucks!
