After talking about our picks for the worst fashion trends ever, how about some good ones?  We thought long and hard about these and came up with 5 accessories that will ALWAYS be in style (including this spring), and not to mention functional too.

1) That Perfect Little Black Purse

Need some lipstick, ID, or how about a touchup, well that lipstick, driver's license and compact are all in there!  Practical, functional and always chic, that little black purse is always fashionable.  Granted, we will admit the texture and shape might change from season to season, but if it's black and small, you can be granted it's still in fashion.  

Our pick: Halston Heritage Folded Sequin Clutch ($195US) is perfect for most occasions,  but if you have the budget for it Balmain makes some absolutely gorgeous clutches, the Night Pearl Leather Clutch ($2120) is to die for!

2) A Great Pair of Shades

It may be the middle of winter, snowing, raining or even hailing, but somehow those shades still make you look cool.  Best part is,  it's something you can wear all year round, so you get a lot of wear out of them.  Want to hear something even better?  By protecting your eyes from UV, you're preventing cataracts, macular degeneration  and of the most important of all-wrinkles!!  Remember to get your shades from a reputable dealer though, that way they are sure to have the much needed UV protection.  The problem with those cheapies is that although they may be fashionable, they may not have the proper UV protection and actually end up damaging you more (by dilating your pupils and letting more sunlight into your eyes without UV protection).

Our pick: The classic Christian Dior-Dior Glossy 1/S ($219US).  You've seen these shades, trust me, so get a pair of your own!

3) Kitten Heels

Thank God for this trend!!  I don't know about you, but stilettos although sexy, are just not functional.  After about 20 minutes my feet hurt and somehow the closest seat available is my new best friend.  Plus there's something just so french and sexy about them isn't there?  They give you that little height you need (which also makes your legs look a bit thinner), but you can just walk for miles without even thinking about it!  

Our pick: Aldo's Essency Kitten Pumps ($70CDN). Chic and the perfect patent leather, you'll be digging these.

4) A Great Wrap

With the endless textures, patterns and colors available, a good wrap will always be useful and fashionable.  Great for covering up on those chilly nights, or just to accent that perfect outfit, a wrap is always in style.

Our pick: Loro Piana has some great wraps and scarfs (available at Bergdorf Goodman), our favourite was Lanvin's Ribbed Scarf ($590US)

5) That Perfect Piece of Diamond Jewelry

Whether it's on your finger, neck, wrist or even toes, a good quality diamond is never out of style.  Personally, I'm not a bling girl, but a classic emerald cut diamond is elegant, fashionable and very sexy!
