| Our fav trends from the spring 2010 runways
There were a lot of interesting hair and makeup trends on the runways for spring and summer 2010, but there were a few that really caught our eye that were wearable, easy to execute and actually make you look good!
Our fav had to be the splash of bold color that we would see during some of the show. Noticed we said splash, it was just that right amount of color to make a statement but not over due it. We loved the bold lines on the eyes and the bold lips. If you're wanting to get this look you gotta check out some of the new shades in the spring makeup lines. For an eye popping experience, try Urban Decay's Stardust Eyeshadow in Atmosphere ($20US). This bold deep turquoise with just a hint of sparkle will make those blue/green and brown eyes of yours stand out. If turquoise doesn't rock your boat, then NARS Duo Eyeshadow in Balthazar ($32US) will. We love the golden yellow maize eyeshadow, which looks stunning on and compliments the saffron accompanying shade. For bold lips try MAC's Spring Forecast Collections Lipsticks ($14US/16.50CDN). Bold pinks, purples, corals and yellows) mark these lip colors and will make you look stunning.
Another trend we liked were the earthy tones to makeup. Light brown almost tranlucent smoked out eyes, or subtle brown lips were just gorgeous. Our favorite spring collection that has all the neutrals you can handle is Chanels Les Impressions Spring Collection. Like all things Chanel, its effortless chic with beautiful neutrals for eyes, lips and everything in between. The must have item is the limited edition Radiant Glow Highlighting Powder ($65US). This powder gives the most flattering effect for your complexion, with subtle shimmers of brown, rosewood and beige. Not to be outdone, the new palette for Les Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow ($56US), Kaska Beige is a stunning balance of browns and beiges that will perfectly compliment your skin. For lips, the Luminous Satin Lip Colour ($32US) has soft neutral shades of peach, mauve/plum and beige to complete your look and make you a natural beauty.
What is spring without some coral makeup! I know you're wondering if you can pull it off! A collection that has a coral that you can wear is Lancomes O My Rose Spring 2010 Collection. The must have item is the Pop n Cheeks Color Blusher in Coral Flirt ($29.50US/$38CDN). This gorgeous palette has just the right amount of coral powder blush with accompanying warm pink and yellows to highlight your look. The best part is Lancome makes it easy for you by giving you an accompanying Pop N Palette Eyeshadow Palette ( $42US/$54CDN) to help take the guess work of what to match with that coral! We love the Divine Hold palette (teal, earthy brown/copper and pearl highlight shadow), which works perfectly with the blush. If your a lip girl, La Laque Fever ($26.50US/$32CDN) has limited edition shades, Coral Bliss (for lighter complexions) and Swinging Copper (for darker complexions), to keep you current.
