2008 HOT COLORS FOR THE SUMMER MONTHS PART I
ARMANI
Aside from Bronze Mania Collection (bronzed skin and copper eyes which we talked about last month), Armani also introduced The Caffe Collection-a collection which perfects brown lipstick and makes them sexier than ever. Armani brings the rich shades of coffee to lips with the Caffe Collection. Shades range from a transparent nude to very rich browns, all of which make a distinct statement and will turn heads. All the lipsticks contain microFilTM micro pearl to embellish your lips with a satiny luminosity. There are several types of finishes to the lipsticks-a shine and sheer, our favorite color was #62 Ristretto-a deep rich brown lipstick, that will make you the femme fatale at any time of day.
THE LOOK:BRONZED SKIN WITH COPPER EYES, WITH DEEP BROWN LIPS
CHANEL
Aside from the bronze skins and neutral shades to go with it, Chanel has introduced some more colors into their summer collection.
For Eyes:
There is the Lumieres Facettes Eyeshadow Quad in Oasis ($55.00) which contains Khaki, Bronze, Coral and Pink shimmer shadows.
For individual shades the Ombre Essential Soft Touch Eyeshadow ($27.50) now has a Nomade (pink rose), Khaki (khaki green), as well as the browns Tigre (bronze) and Safari (stone brown).
The Inimitable Waterproof Mascara has a new color Emaraude ($27.50)-a jade green, to go with your tanned skin.
For Lips:
The Rouge Hydrabase lipsticks ($26.00) have also introduced two new (very hot) shades this season-Leopard (golden coral) and Rose Flamingo (bright pink).
The Aquaslumiere Sheer Lipshine ($26.00) Zanzibar (soft peach) and Mauritus (bronzed coral). For glosses the Glossimer ($26.00) now has Gazelle (a hot pink with sparkle), Pinup (frosted golden peach) and Seashell (soft shimmering pink)
THE LOOK: KHAKI/GREEN, CORAL AND PINK ON EYES WITH PINK/CORAL LIPS
DIOR
Eyes and skin were all about being bronzed, with a golden finish. Eyes are neutral browns (copper and bronze), mauves, khaki and beige with a golden shimmer finish in their 5 Colour Eyeshadows ($52.00). The two new palettes are Golds 569 and Goldfever 589.
Dior Addict High Shine Lipsticks($25.00) and Ultra-gloss LIpgloss ($24.50) has some lovely pinks and corals to go with their gold/bronze theme. For the Lipsticks, there is a Shine Pink, Show Coral and Couture Brown, for the Ultra-Gloss there is Coral Lame and Beige Moire and Lurex.

GUERLAIN
Aside from their changes to their popular Terracotta collection, Guerlain has also introduced
Meteorites for Summer 2008-makeup with a delicate pearly finish to make your skin, eyes and lips radiant under the summer sun. The Meteorites Perles Light Diffusing Perfect Primer is a unique aqueous gel with pink pearls that blends when dispensed out of the pump. The result? A silky and smooth base, leaving your complexion natural and even. Then apply the Meteorites Poudre de Perles Illuminating Perfecting Pressed Powder which conceals, brightens and transforms the complexion without adding shine. GIVENCHY:
The Denim Fetiche Collection, inspired by women's love for blue jeans and how they are individual expressions, has blue as a focal color. The powder and cream eyeshadow quartets, Black Denim and Indigo Denim ($49.50), come in 4 shades (all complimentary to blue-yellow,grey,purple and pink ) with 3 different textures for day and night. For lips, there is the limited edition Rouge Interdit Shine lipstick and Pop Gloss Crystal the gloss version of the Interdit Shine. Both come in new shades of Tahiti Coral (light coral with a golden shine), and Ibiza Pink (cherry pink with a white pearly finish), with pinks, purples and burgundy as other colors to compliment your blue eyeshadow.
THE LOOK:EYES HAVE BLUE SHADOW WITH COMPLIMENTARY COLORS TO ENHANCE, LIPS ARE LIGHT CORAL WITH GOLD FINISH OR PINK WITH PEARLY FINISH, ALSO PURPLE AND BURGUNDY.
