We all know the bob is still very popular at the moment, it can be razor straight or with soft curls. What are some of the other cuts are popular this season? After reviewing the spring shows for 2008, Musk has come up with a few other trends that are hot for spring 2008:
1) The pixie hair cut -This is that Betty Boop kind of hair, the shorter the better, but be warned you have to have delicate features to really pull this off and it works best with straighter hair.
2) The evolution of the bob -The bob is still present, but this time it can have a tousled look, with a soft but slightly messy curl, a blessing for woman with naturally curly hair. Another change in the bob is that it doesn't have to be quite so sculpted and razor sharp, try side parting it this season.
If you have really fine hair and had that sculpted bob, to update for this season, go for an even shorter length
3) For short-medium hair -Blunt bangs with face framing layers. This type of cut, flatters alot of woman, so if your not ready for the boldness of the pixie, try this look. You can also try longer bangs with a side part, with face framing layer
4) For longer hair -soft curls are still in, or that romantic 40's look with a slight kink in your hair For fine hair, you can also straight flowing hair with a bit of fly away (or slight curl) at the end. This is great for adding body to fine hair.
Musk magazine's favorite hair trend this season:
5) Upswept hair - This was everywhere and can be worn in so many ways:
- It can be very neat in a perfectly tight ballerina bun, but if your doing this, to look in this season try and add a bit of spark to it with a hair accessory, like flowers (very chic this season and at alot of the haute couture shows).
-twisted, a la French twist.
-messy half ponytails, and this season it's ok to have a bit of frizz (great for the woman on the go especially if you have thicker straight medium-long hair).
-if your hair is long, thick but curly, try a side ponytail, it will show off your curls, but keep you in style.
-the new power puff or beehive, not as high flying as Buckwheat but still can be done within reason.
